Accessibility Statement

How danielssondata.no works for every visitor, what we know still needs work, and how to report a problem.

Danielsson Data & Drone Tjenester is a small, privately owned business and isn't legally required to publish an accessibility statement: that obligation mainly applies to public-sector bodies. We're publishing one anyway, because a site that doesn't work with a keyboard or screen reader is a site that shuts some people out. This page is written honestly: it lists what we've actually tested, what we know is a weak spot, and how to tell us about it.

WCAG 2.1, Level AA

We build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Status

Partially conformant

The site meets most criteria, with a few known gaps described below, mostly related to color contrast on secondary text.

What we've tested and done

  • Semantic HTML with a correct heading hierarchy (h1 → h2 → h3, no skipped levels) on every page
  • Every image has descriptive alt text; purely decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them
  • Every form field on the contact page has a visible, properly associated label
  • A "skip to main content" link as the first thing on every page, for keyboard and screen-reader users
  • A visible focus indicator on every interactive element, tested against both light and dark sections
  • Respects "reduced motion": the background video and animations turn off if you have that setting enabled at the OS level
  • No tracking cookies or third-party analytics requiring consent
  • Tested with keyboard navigation (Tab/Shift+Tab) through the menu, contact form, and FAQ accordion

Known issues

These are genuine findings from a color-contrast check we ran on 2026-08-18, not a complete independent audit:

  • Muted text (gold section eyebrows and grey captions) falls short of the contrast ratio needed against light backgrounds in a few places, and may be hard to read for people with low vision. This affects short supporting text, not core content.
  • Not tested with a screen reader. We've manually tested keyboard navigation and contrast, but haven't done a full pass with tools like NVDA or VoiceOver.
  • Not verified at 400% zoom. The site is responsive and built with relative units, but we haven't explicitly tested text spacing and reflow at high zoom levels (WCAG 1.4.10/1.4.12).

We're working on fixing the contrast on muted text in an upcoming update.
